1# – ANOTHER
Another plunges you into the life of Koichi, a young man who has just arrived in a new high school in Yomiyama.
Once there, Koichi finds that the atmosphere is oppressive. He discovers that a few years ago, a very popular high school girl, named Misaki, died in the school. Since then, she has haunted the place while roaming in the corridors. This manga and anime are adapted from the eponymous bestselling novel.
2# –THE GIRL FROM HELL
The Girl of the Underworld is an anime released in Japan for the first time in October 2006. It has experienced several adaptations, a first in the form of a drama in 2006 and then into manga.
Every night, at midnight, you can access a website known as the Hell Mail. The platform gives you the opportunity to put the name of a person on a list for the purpose of revenge. It is the Daughter of the Underworld who takes care of the vengeance by subjecting the person all the evil that it committed before taking it to Hell by borrowing the Styx. The girl gives a doll decorated with a red ribbon. When the person who asked for revenge removes this ribbon, the covenant is sealed. The rumor circulates among high school students. The action of the Hell Girl comes at a price: the soul of the person who has claimed revenge. Everything is summarized in the slogan: “Two tombs for a curse”.
3# –THE LADY OF THE CLOSED ROOM
Hiroshi leads his student life freely: he has his apartment, he lives alone, sees his friends, has a girlfriend and goes to class. All is well for him until the day a mysterious woman comes knocking at his neighbor and decides to address him. This strange woman becomes for Hiroshi her only obsession to the point of gradually falling into horror. A scary manga that is cold in the back. The particular atmosphere of this manga is reinforced by the fact that the story focuses solely on Hiroshi and the woman. The other characters act indirectly.
4# –ELFEN LIED
Elfen Lied is a seinen manga by Lynn Okamoto. Published in 2002, this manga is compiled in a total of twelve volumes. Elfen Lied is intended for an adult audience because of its many nude scenes and its physical and psychological violence that turns gore. The title means “Chant elfique” in German. The story is about Lucy, a daughter Diclonius, mutants created by humans with a sixth sense and a power to exterminate the human race. To avoid any risk, scientists isolate them in laboratories to study them. One night, Lucy managed to get out of prison by killing everyone she met …There is also an animated series of thirteen episodes. The publisher offers them streaming legal and free.
Doubt is a manga of Yoshiki Tonogai released in 2007. The plot takes place in Japan where Rabbit Doubt, a mobile phone game, is a hit in the country. The goal of the game: rabbits must unmask the wolf hiding among them. For its part, the wolf must succeed to go unnoticed and kill one by one all his opponents.
But five Rabbit Doubt players wake up and lock themselves in a disused building next to the body of a murdered classmate. Each player also discovers a tattooed code on their body that seems to open a different door. Certainly, the only key to get out of prison before the wolf, hidden among them, devours them …
6# –HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD
This shonen manga is written by Daisuke Sato and drawn by Shoji Sato. If you love gore and horror, HOTD is for you. Direction the boarding school of Takashi on April 13th. A morning that begins in an ordinary way. Takashi, who is drying classes to take a nap on the roof of the boarding school, sees in front of the gate, a teacher being devoured by an undead. Very quickly, this ordinary day will switch into horror!
Hellsing tells the story of the Hellsing Foundation’s fight, including Nosferatu Alucard, the best player, and Victoria Seras, a policewoman who became a vampire because of Alucard, against ghouls, vampires and the undead. They are especially hunted by the rival of Alucard: Anderson.
Two anime are based on the manga: Hellsing directed by the studio Gonzo Digimation, in series of thirteen episodes. In this adaptation, the story is faithful to the manga until the seventh episode. And the second adaptation, Hellsing Ultimate, a series of OAVs extremely faithful to the manga.
8# –LITCHI HIKARI CLUB
The Hikari Litchi Club is a kind of schoolboy sect that promotes physical perfection and youth. We are far from the club of exotic fruit lovers! Zera is at the head of the sect that has the distinction of worshiping torture and whose sole purpose is to seize pretty girls. The club will then create a powerful robot, litchis fuel to help pre-pubescent in their hunt for pretty girls. The author, Usamaru Furuya, offers you here a plot of Frankenstein mixed conspiracy and secret romances.
9# –HIGURASHI NO NAKU KORO NI
We are in June 1983 in a fictional village called Hinamizawa where everything seems peaceful. Keiichi Maebara, the main character has just moved in with his family and he is quickly four friends in his class who open the doors of a board game club. Everything is going well in the best of all worlds until the day of the village feast: Keiichi learns that every year, one person disappears and another is found dead the next day. And that, for four years!
10# –MAGICAL GIRL OF THE END
Kogami is a lambda student. He lived his life talking about classes and what was on TV the night before. But his routine will change quickly. Overnight, a pentagram, the work of magical girls, takes shape in the sky. All the pupils from the class are massacred! Kogami and his childhood friend, whom he managed to save, will then discover with horror that their comrades get up after being killed and turn into zombies. The two teenagers will then have to try everything to try to survive in this apocalyptic world.
